Serving the greater Philadelphia western suburbs, the practice offers thoughtful, patient-centered care in a private setting, with an emphasis on careful diagnosis, longitudinal treatment planning, and clinical judgment.

The practice is owned and operated by Dr. Michael Silverberg, a board-certified psychiatrist with deep roots in the Main Line community. Dr. Silverberg grew up in Devon, Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of The Haverford School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Silverberg completed his psychiatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where he received advanced training in the evaluation and treatment of complex psychiatric illness. He subsequently returned to Pennsylvania to join Main Line Health, where he served for seven years as Chief Psychiatrist of Paoli Hospital, overseeing inpatient psychiatric services and collaborating closely with medical, surgical, and administrative leadership. He now devotes his full professional efforts to operating Psychiatric Associates of the Main Line, providing outpatient psychiatric care and consultation.

In addition to his medical training, Dr. Silverberg has completed continuing education coursework at The Wharton School, reflecting his longstanding interest in the psychological dimensions of leadership, decision-making, and risk. His combined background in psychiatry, economics, and business informs his work not only with individuals and families, but also with executives and family enterprises navigating high-stakes transitions, succession planning, and periods of crisis.
